Role: Partner Development Manager
Position Overview:
The partner development manager will be responsible for building SMS Magic’s next generation of Telecom, Technology and Consulting partnerships. At SMS Magic building the indirect route to market through our technical integration will help drive scale for the business in the near and long term.
Key Responsibilities:
The goal of the partner development manager is to recruit, build and activate these new partnerships with a focus on industries such as Financial Services, Credit Unions, Mortgages and Insurance Brokers as well as Healthcare and more.
You will work directly with the VP of Growth and assist in continuously driving new business through partner recruitment. Activities include weekly partner development activities with respective alliance leaders, webinars, education and joint market development activities such as events, trainings and enablement for the target partners’ sales and marketing team. In addition, in the early stages of the partnership, working with the product team to build and deploy these integrations is critical for success.
This role will be measured through both MBO’s and new business generated from partnership related activities. Minimum experience required is between 8-10 years in a similar role. The ideal candidate would have a bachelors and/or masters in a business or technical field and comfortable working hands-on with technical solutions with a basic understanding of the product and tech stack. The candidate should be familiar with API integrations, SDK’s and knowledge of the activities involved in building a strong partnership with minimal supervision.
